A spotting scope on a tripod

How it works

  1. Mount

Put your iPhone on your scope or binoculars with any phone adapter. Line it up shows when the eyepiece is centered.

  2. Record

TrueGlass corrects the shake as you shoot. On gusty days, tap Max stabilization.

  3. Find it later

Every clip is tagged with where you were and which way you faced, and dropped on your map.

Made for the glass

Stabilized in real time

It measures the picture itself, so wind, a flexing adapter and a bumped tripod are corrected before they reach your clip.

Max stabilization

One tap uses the full correction margin when the wind picks up.

Lock onto the animal

Pick the target in any clip, even one from another camera app, and TrueGlass keeps it centered and stabilized.

Your spots on a map

See everywhere you've filmed, with yardage lines to what you were glassing.

The sharpest frames

Photos come from the most stable moment, and Best frames finds the sharpest stills in a clip.

Tuned for the eyepiece

Brightness, focus lock, Looks, Color and a spot meter for the view through the glass.

Free to start

Try every feature free. After the trial, the free plan includes stabilized video and photos every day. TrueGlass Pro unlocks unlimited recording in full 2.7K, Max stabilization, the map and more, as a monthly subscription.

Questions

What do I need?

An iPhone running iOS 15 or later, and a phone adapter that holds its camera over the eyepiece of your spotting scope or binoculars.

Does it work with binoculars?

Yes. Binoculars magnify less than a spotting scope, and TrueGlass stabilizes them the same way.

Does it need cell service?

No. Recording, stabilization and GPS tagging all work with no signal. The map's background imagery needs a connection to load.

What does it cost?

TrueGlass is free to download, with a free trial of every feature and a free plan after it. TrueGlass Pro is a monthly subscription; the App Store shows the price in your currency.

Where are my videos kept?

In TrueGlass on your phone, until you save or share them. Turn on Auto-save to send each one to Photos as you take it.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. TrueGlass is for iPhone for now.
